October 31st, Superstar Art Foundation was invited to participate in the first International Business Expo.
The first Houston International EXPO was held at the Hilton-Americas Hotel in downtown Houston on October 31, 2024, attracting people from all walks of life. The elite gathered together to discuss the development opportunities and challenges in the global market.
At the opening ceremony, U.S. Congressman Al Green and Mr. Wea H. Lee, an outstanding Asian figure in Houston, chairman of the Southern News Group, chairman of the International Trade Centre, founder of Global One Bank, and founder and mayor of the International Management District in Houston, delivered welcoming speeches to the guests.
Former Harris County Judge and Fair Chairman Robert Eckels delivered an enthusiastic speech at the opening ceremony, affirming that the Expo is a local enterprise, community and international partner. The opportunities created are the result of 22 years of struggle of the International Trade Centre.
Kevin Cole, Mayor of City of Pearland, highly praised the successful holding of the International Business Fair, believing that the event provided an important platform for economic cooperation in Greater Houston.
Wea H. Lee, Chairman of the Houston International Trade Center, Director of the International District, Founder of Global First Bank and Initiator of the First International Business Expo, pointed out that over the past 20 years, the International Trade Center and the Houston International District have undergone major changes, from nothing to something, from small to large. These changes have greatly promoted the comprehensive economic development of ethnic minorities, and many people have realized their American dream here. He said that this International Business Expo attracted consuls general from 18 countries to attend, further strengthening economic and cultural cooperation and exchanges. He emphasized that this international participation not only demonstrated Houston's global influence, but also provided valuable opportunities for mutual trust and understanding between countries. The Expo will provide an excellent cooperation platform for companies from different countries and cultural backgrounds to promote cross-cultural understanding and mutual trust. He hopes that through such exchanges, Houston can further enhance its influence on the global stage and consolidate its position as an international business center.
Gezahgen Kebede, President of the Houston International Trade Center (ITC) and Honorary Consul General of the Consulate General of Ethiopia in Houston, further pointed out that this expo attracted more than 40 business people from Africa, who gathered together to actively discuss economic and trade cooperation.
Ms. May Liu, President of the Superstar Art Foundation, award winner director, actor, artist, the 73rd descendant of royal family Liu from Han dynasty, Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awardee, was invited to attend the event and conducted a "May WeTalk Show" TV interview with exhibitors and guests. As a 501-C-3 international non-profit organization with mission of supporting artists’ dreams, Superstar Art Foundation demonstrated its rich art works and non-profit programs during the expo, including the SuperStar Award, the Miss Economic World Pageant, SuperStar Magazine, SuperStar Academy, SuperStar Club, etc. It also released news for the humanitarian movies "Blooming Sisters" and "Lost 24". The Foundation also promoted the world's first Royal Han Palace Museum under construction in Dallas, as well as HRHMAYLIU Royal Beauty Oil products. The Han Dynasty emperor costume played by Jason Chou, a director of the foundation, attracted everyone's attention and became a beautiful landscape of the expo.
After the exhibition, the organiser held a thank-you dinner to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the establishment of the International Trade Centre. Consular ambassadors and business elites from more than 30 countries participated in the dinner, and had cordial exchanges and awarded certificates of honour to outstanding contributors. The wonderful performance pushed the atmosphere of the dinner to a climax.
The expo covers many fields such as trade, finance, real estate, health, education, etc., and the experts in each link have brought unique insights and valuable suggestions. The first Houston Business Expo provides local companies and individuals with rich knowledge and resources through the sharing of experts in various fields, helping them to better cope with the challenges of the global market. 休斯顿国际贸易中心总裁（ITC President）、埃塞俄比亚驻休斯顿总领事馆名誉总领事格扎根·科彼德（Gezahgen Kebede）进一步指出，本届博览会吸引了40余位来自非洲的经贸人士，他们齐聚一堂，积极洽谈经贸合作业务。
超星艺术基金会总裁，获奖导演，演员，艺术家，漢皇劉氏第73代後裔，美国总统终身成就奖获得者, May Liu女士应邀出席了本次活动，并对参展企业和嘉宾们进行了“我们谈谈秀”电视采访。 超星艺术基金会作为支持艺术家发展的501-C-3国际非盈利组织，在博览会期间展示了基金会丰富的艺术作品和非盈利项目包括超星奖，经济世界小姐大赛，超星杂志，超星学院，超星俱乐部等。并进行了电影“花开姐妹”以及”迷失24” 电影新闻发布。 基金会同时还推广了达拉斯在建项目全球首家皇室汉宫博物馆，以及HRHMAYLIU皇家美容油产品。由基金会理事Jason chou扮演的汉朝帝王造型，吸引了众人的目光和驻足，成为本次博览会一道亮丽的风景线。
展会结束后，主办方举办了答谢晚宴活动，庆祝国际贸易中心成立22周年，来自30多个国家的领事大使以及商界精英等参加了晚宴，并进行亲切交流，为杰出贡献者颁发荣誉证书，精彩的表演将晚宴气氛推向高潮。
